Mangaluru, Nov 09, 2022: The Third Additional Civil Court has on November 9, Wednesday dismissed the writ filed by the Malali mosque management board challenging the maintainability of the original suit. The court has said that the case can be heard in the civil court.
The mosque committee had argued that as the mosque was a Wakf property only the wakf related court can hear this case. However the court has dismissed the committee’s petition.
It may be recalled here that T A Dhananjaya and B A Manoj Kumar had moved the Third Additional Civil Court seeking a survey of the mosque after some Hindu outfits claimed that a temple like structure was found during the renovation of the mosque. The court had later ordered a status quo on the mosque renovation.
