Mangaluru, Dec 20, 2022: An elderly woman sustained injuries after she fell into a trench near the Ambedkar Circle in the city on December 19, Monday morning. Incidentally, the trench which was dug up for cable related works has remained open since a month.

Locals later rescued the elderly woman who suffered injuries due to the fall. Luckily she did not have any major injury though she fell upside down into the trench.

Locals have expressed their anguish over the way in which various works are taken up in the city, least bothered about the safety of the citizens.
