Mangaluru, Feb 04, 2023: A resident of Kannur Borugudde has lodged a complaint wth the police against two persons of cheating him of Rs 3 crores by making him invest in cryto currency.

The accused are Mohammad Shafad C K and Mohammad Afid C K. It is alleged that Shafad, an acquaintance had contacted the complainant in January 2020 stating that he had earned crores and wanted a good investor. The accused also assured the complainant of 25% profit every month. In January third week, Shafad and his brother Afid had met the complainant at his house when the complainant had given them Rs 35 lakhs. A month later Shafad had informed the complainant of Rs 8.75 lakh profit and that it would get updated in two months.

The complainant, it is said had in all provided Rs 3 crore to the accused who were then not contactable following which a complaint has been lodged in CEN station.
