Belthangady, Aug 03, 2023: In a case of moral policing reported from Dharmasthala, an autorickshaw driver was assaulted by some men near the bus stand close by the Dharmasthala welcome arc on August 2, Wednesday night.

The incident took place at around 9 pm when the autorickshaw driver Mohammad Ashiq (22) had a Hindu woman as a passenger. It is alleged that he was attacked for the sole reason that he was a Muslim

A case has been registered in Dharmasthala Police Station.
