Mangaluru, Aug 03, 2023: On August 6, Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video conferencing will lay the foundation stone for the upgradation of the Mangaluru Junction Railway station to international standards under the Amrit Bharath station scheme. This was informed by Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.

It has been proposed to upgrade the Mangaluru Junction station at a cost of Rs 19.32 crores.

It may be recalled here that during the current year’s budget, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had said that Mangaluru Junction, Mangaluru Central Subrahmanya and Bantwal railway stations will be upgraded.
