Mangaluru, Sep 29, 2023: Customs officials at the Mangaluru International Airport have seized gold worth Rs 87 lakhs in separate cases.

On September 27, a man who had arrived from Dubai was detained with gold worth Rs 10.54 lakhs which he had concealed in air pods, phone charger and wrist watch. The 24 carat gold weighed 176 grams.

In two other cases reported on September 26 and 27, three passengers arriving from Abu Dhabi and Dubai were detained with 1273 grams 24 carat gold worth Rs 76,50,730. The gold was  concealed in rectum, toy scooter and air pods.
