Bantwal, Aug 31, 2023: A 23 year old woman from Madwa near Vagga in Bantwal has died In her sleep on August 29, Tuesday night. The cause of the death is not clear.

The deceased is Mithra Shetty (23), daughter of Raja. After dinner, she had slept along with her mother but was found lifeless in the morning. She stayed with her mother and aunt at Madwa as her father and brother were employed in Bengaluru.

As she was unresponsive on Wednesday morning the family members rushed her to a private hospital in Derlakatte where doctors pronounced her dead. It is suspected that she might have died of cardiac arrest or brain hemorrhage.  A post-mortem report is expected to reveal the exact cause of the death.

Mithra was working at an advocate’s office at BC Road.
