Mangaluru, Sep 01, 2023: Following the recent death of a bus conductor by falling off a moving bus near Nantur junction in the city, the Mangaluru Police have embarked on a drive against footboard travelling and have registered a total of 123 cases so far.

City Police Commissioner had also instructed bus operators to fix doors for the buses in order to ensure safety of passengers as well as conductors.

The Commissioner has said the bus operators have assured to take steps to ensure that no one travels on footboard in old buses which do not have doors.
