Mangaluru, April 14, 2023: A police constable attached to the Kankanady Traffic Police Station sustained serious injuries after he was hit by a tempo near Adamkudru on April 13, Thursday.

The injured constable is Manjunath Hegde. He was on duty on the National Highway 66 in view of the CM’s programmes during the day. As he was regulating traffic in the afternoon, a tempo on way to Talapady went out of control and hit him.

Hegde who sustained serious injuries on his head and hands has been admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru.
