Mangaluru, June 24, 2023: In a tragic incident the driver of a lorry died after he was trapped between two container lorries near the Talapady toll gate on the National Highway 66, late night on Thursday.

The deceased is Shameem (38) of Haryana origin. It is learnt Shameem had parked his container lorry near the toll gate as he wanted to take a tea break. Another container lorry belonging to the same company had stopped in front of it. However as Shameem was standing in front of his lorry, the lorry in front moved all of a sudden and Shameem who got caught between the two huge vehicles was seriously injured.

Though he was rushed to the hospital, his life could not be saved. Shameem and the driver of the other lorry are relatives.
