Kasargod, Feb 15, 2023: Several electricity poles were damaged after a part of the front portion of a mosque building which was being demolished to facilitate NH works, all of a sudden fell on the electricity poles including hi-tension wires resulting in the mishap at Nullippady on February 14, Tuesday evening.

The poles and cables right from the new bus stand upto Nullippady were damaged due to the incident. Luckily no one was hurt in the mishap. Many vehicles were moving on the road and there were many onlookers of the demolition work when the mishap took place at around 6 pm on Tuesday.

The vehicular movement on the Kasargod-Cherkala stretch was affected following the incident. Later the authorities concerned, fire service men and KSEB officials rushed to the spot and initiated remedial measures.
