Kasargod, July 17, 2023: A total of seven policemen including two from Kasargod were suspended from service for having links with the sand mafia.

Those suspended are TM Abdul Rasheed of Chandera station, B Harikrishnan of Chimeni station, C Gokulan, SI of Kannur Rural, P Joyi Thomas of Kallikote Rural, P A Nisar, Civil Police Officer of Kannur, M Y Shibin, Civil Police Officer of Kallikote Rural and P A Shabeer of Kannur Rural station.

The accused cops were said to have had links with sand mafia while on duty at Thrissur police station.
