Kaup, July 18, 2023: A fracas between two labourers culminated in the murder of one of them at Katapady on July 17, Monday evening.

The deceased is Ganesh (50) of Odisha. He was a construction worker who was engaged in work near the Katapady Shirva road.

It is learnt two labourers had engaged in a fracas over some work issue. The clash resulted in serious injuries to Ganesh who was rushed to the hospital by fellow labourers. However he had died by then.

Meanwhile, the accused is absconding and the police have launched a search for him.
