Mangaluru, July 22, 2023: Like-minded citizens staged a protest in front of the Clock Tower in the city on July 21, Friday to condemn Manipur violence and to demand measures to ensure safety of women in Manipur.

Fr Vinod of Vimukti Trust said, what was happening at Manipur was a clear violation of human rights.

Sabeeha Bhoomigowda, former chancellor of Karnataka Women’s University said the recent incidents at Manipur were a direct assault on women in the society and are unpardonable acts.

Social activists Vidya Dinker, Shabbeer Ahmed, Sajida Mumin and others were present.
