Malpe, Aug 24, 2023: A fisherman lost his life after he fell down from the boat into the sea on August 22, afternoon.

The deceased is Sridhar Lakshman Naika (50) from Bhatkal. He had ventured into fishing in the Yashraj Boat from Malpe port on August 15 along with other fishermen. It is learnt, he lost balance and fell into the sea while drawing the fishing net towards him.

A case has been registered in Malpe police station.
