Mangaluru, Aug 09, 2023: A notorious criminal who was absconding since the past one and a half years without appearing for hearing, has been arrested by the CCB police. The accused has been handed over to the Suratkal police.

The arrested person is Mohammad Naushad alias Ullanje Naushad (28) of Mennabettu village.

He is an accused in the Deepak Rao murder case of Suratkal and three other cases and was absconding ever since he secured bail.

He was arrested from near Meeyapadavu in Kasargod.
