Mangaluru, Dec 06, 2022: Mishal Queenie D’Costa, an IRS officer hailing from Neerude who in a daring act had chased and trapped Nigerian drug peddlers last year, was conferred Bravery Award by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

Mishal is serving as Deputy Director of Indirect Taxes at Mumbai Customs. Daughter of Lazarus and Nancy D’Costa of Neerude, Mishal had secured 387th rank in the 2015 UPSC exams.
