Sullia, Feb 10, 2023: A marriage which was scheduled to be held at the Town Hall in the town on Thursday had to be cancelled after the groom did not turn up at the venue.

The marriage of a young woman from Ubaradka was scheduled to be held with a man from Puttur at the Town Hall. The bride’s party had arrived at the wedding hall on Thursday and a grand feast for around 500 guests was also ready. Many guests invited by the groom’s side had also arrived. However when the groom did not turn up, the bride’s family called his number and it was found switched off.

Later when the police were informed, it came to light that the groom was already married and he was sent along with his first wife who had lodged a verbal complaint.
