Mangaluru, July 21, 2023: CCB Police have arrested three notorious drug peddlers who were selling MDMA drugs. The trio used to sell drugs at Pilirur village of Talapady village, by coming in two cars.

Those arrested are Mohammad Niyaz of Krishnapura, Nishad of Talapady KC Road and Mohammad Razeen of Kannur.

Police seized 180 grams MDMA worth Rs 9 lakhs from them apart from two Maruti Swift cars, four mobile phones, one pistol, one live bullet, dragon knives, digital weighing machine and a cash of Rs 22,050.

A case has been registered in Ullal police station and search is on for other accused in the case.

Of the accused Niyaz is facing the case of stabbing an ASI on duty of Urwa station as well as assaulting cops on duty at Konaje police station. He also has ten cases against him including a murder attempt case, two cases of drugs peddling and dacoity case.  He had gone absconding after securing bail from the court and has a warrant against him.

Another accused Razeen too has a drugs peddling case against him in Kankanady police station.
