Udupi, Aug 19, 2023: An elderly woman sustained serious injuries when she was hit by a bus as she was waiting to cross the Manipal-Athradi road at Parkala.

The injured woman Vasanthi Nayak (70) of Parkala has been hospitalized. She had purchased medicines at a local Jana Aushadi Kendra and was waiting to cross the road near the divider when the bus heading towards Manipal knocked her down.

Vasanthi Nayak who has suffered serious injuries in head, stomach and chest has been admitted to a private hospital in Manipal.

Manipal police have registered a case.
