Udupi, Oct 06, 2023: The building materials supplying lorry owners and drivers of Udupi have ended their strike  following a positive response from Chief Minister Siddaramaiah towards their various demands at a meeting held at Bengaluru on October 5, Thursday.

Raghavendra Shetty of the Lorry Owners Association said the CM has  directed officials to solve the problems  and that the district administration has been asked to issue re-tender for sand mining and also to address various issues within 30 days.

He said therefore the strike has been withdrawn and lorries will operate as usual from October 6, Friday.
