Mangaluru, Dec 13, 2022: A medical intern lost his life while another sustained serious injuries after the bike which they were riding met with an accident late night on December 12 at Madaka in Amblamogaru village.

The deceased is Nishanth (22), a resident of Yashwanthpur in Bengaluru. Pillion rider Shakib of Bidar has sustained injuries and has been admitted to a private hospital in Derlakatte.

The two who had completed MBBS and were interning at the Kanachur Medical College at Natekal were residing at a flat at Kuttar. On Monday night both had gone on a bike ride and were taken unawares by a road hump resulting in the accident. Nishanth died on the spot. As the road was deserted, locals came to know about the mishap a little later.

Nishanth, it is learnt was the only son of his parents and was supposed to receive his MBBS degree at the convocation to be held in another two months.
