Uppinangady, June 23, 2023: A new born has died two days after his mother 28 year old Bhavya, an ASHA worker died due to excessive bleeding soon after delivery.

Bhavya who hailed from Hirebandady was admitted to the Puttur Government Hospital on Monday. On Tuesday night she gave birth to a baby boy and died at the Wenlock Hospital where she was rushed following excessive bleeding. The new born was being treated at the Wenlock Hospital where he died on Thursday morning.

Meanwhile, the husband of the deceased woman, Balakrishna Gowda has filed a written complaint with the Deputy Commissioner and District Health Officer alleging that medical negligence resulted in the death of his wife and child.

The DC has assured Gowda that he would look into the matter.
