Likhith Rai who had recently staged a solo protest in front of the MCC building at Lalbagh demanding repair of roads after his friend who was riding a bike died while trying to evade a pothole on the Bikarnakatte-Kandettu cross, on September 28, Wednesday once again staged a solo protest, this time at Nantoor Circle.
His protest was against the potholes ridden National Highway 75. Pointing out how roads were repaired and potholes filled only on the route which Prime Minister Narendra Modi travelled during his recent visit, Likhith held a placard which read “Come back Modiji, Road work Sirf Modi Hai Tho Mumkin Hai?#Potholese Azadi, we demand safe roads.
Likhith also pointed out how highways did not have proper streetlights and said the Prime Minister must travel by road from Sakleshpur to Mangaluru to know the pathetic state of the roads.
